On the western edge of Broughton lies the parish's local cemetery and peaceful Memorial Garden.  It is owned and managed by the Parish Council.

Who is entitled to be buried in the cemetery?

Anyone.

How does someone go about reserving a plot?

Contact the Parish Clerk.

How is the cemetery maintained and managed?

The Parish Council has a maintenance contract renewed each year agreeing duties required and number of cuts to be undertaken.

What are the costs? What is allowed and not allowed in the Cemetery?

The Parish Clerk holds the Regulations and Fees (revised in July 2023) a copy is given to anyone requiring a plot in either the cemetery or memorial garden. Copies of both documents are also available here.

Parking on cemetery land for village events

Anyone wishing to use land at the cemetery for parking during village events should contact The Clerk-Heather Bourner parishclerk@broughton-hants.net to obtain a map and agreement for signature
