Buckland Village Hall
Buckland Village Hall is managed by the Buckland Old School Trust, which was set up in 1994 to administer the Old School House and the Hall, formerly the Old Schoolroom. The Trustees of the Buckland Old School Trust are representatives from All Saints’ Church and Buckland Parish Council, together with co-opted Trustees. The property is a Grade 2 listed building.
In 1999, with a grant from the Heritage Lottery, the Hall was refurbished and extended, to provide a kitchen, toilets and a meeting room, currently used as the office of Buckland Parish Council.
The boundary trees were planted in 1996 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Royal British Legion. The number of trees planted represents the number of names of the fallen on the Buckland war memorial.
In 2024 a campaign was launched to revitalise Buckland Village Hall with the appointment of two new trustees - Richard Peel )Chair) and Linda Oatley and the introduction of a new website and Facebook page.
Booking enquiries for the Hall should be made to Kate Brazier 07749041434 or via the Buckland Village Hall website www.bucklandvillagehall.com
