Dear Parishioners,
Take a moment to read the events and news from your parish church and parish council.
APRIL EVENTS
Friday 3rd April after 4pm, the annual Decorated Egg competition, open to all, exhibit
your creation in the church, it could be a winner. Juniors, seniors, grandchildren of parishioners, friends, and family all welcome to have a go. Place all exhibits in the church after the Good Friday service from 4pm and up to 3pm on Saturday 4th April. Winners will be announced after the Easter Sunday service. This is a lovely way to decorate our parish church for Easter.
Saturday April 4th 10:30am – 12:30 pm Coffee Morning in the church, preserves, and refreshments. Come along and support this community event, a chance to catch-up with neighbours and friends, there will be a tombola stall, and other items to purchase. Proceeds for church funds.
Sunday 5th April 10:00am. Celebration Morning Praise family service, after the service in the churchyard, the Annual Egg Rolling and Easter Egg/ Bunny Rabbit hunt.

21st April 6:30pm Annual Parochial Church Meeting venue: church

CHURCH NEWS
Thank you to all who helped with the churchyard tidy on Saturday 28th March, you did a brilliant job. Next tidy-up will be in the Autumn.
If any parishioner wishes to take an area to look after in the churchyard, at your own pace, just let me know.
St NICHOLAS BULWICK & HOLY TRINITY BLATHERWYCKE CHURCH SERVICES
There will be two service held at Holy Trinity Blatherwycke, Easter Dawn Rise service on Easter Sunday 5th April at 6:00am and Holy Trinity Sunday service on 31st May at 10:00am. If you attend these services by car, the gates by the bridge will be open for you to access the church/churchyard path.

BULWICK PARISH CHARITIES
Back in 1705 &1862, members of the Tryon/Conant family of Bulwick Hall left legacies of the land and funds to provide for past and present parishioners. If you are not familiar with this, have lived in the parish for over 12 months, and are either over 65years OR have children in full-time education, have a look on your parish website www.bulwickparishcouncil.gov.uk to find out more.
BULWICK EDUCATION FUND
The trustees will shortly be delivering more information and application forms to all households eligible to apply for Education Grants. The return deadline will be 30th April and grants paid in May. In 2025, the Foundation helped nine of our young people take part in developmental activities or acquire equipment to aid their learning. Activities supported included drama skills course, learning equipment, dance classes, school history trip, swimming lessons, music lessons, and a sailing course. This Fund is there to benefit the parish, so do please consider apply when you receive your forms. ANNUAL HORTICULTURAL SHOW
staged in St Nicholas. The schedule will be circulated in April to all eleigble villages to take part. The show will be over the August bank holiday weekend 29th & 30th August, staged in the church. When you receive the schedule take a look and decide to have a go, Bulwick needs your support to maintain our name on the Inter-Village shield.
BULWICK PARISH COUNCIL - NEWS
We had a great turnout for our March meeting, hearing more about our village planters (coming this summer) and Greenways – an initiative to link up walking, cycling, running pathways from Corby to Stamford.
Next meeting is on 6th May 2026 at 7:15pm in the church. This will be the Annual Parishioners Meeting, the chair will deliver a short review of 2025/2026. Your views are vital for us to ensure that the village is kept to your liking.
The Annual General Meeting for Bulwick Parish Council will take place after this. See website / noticeboard for agenda nearer the date.
