Bulwick Parish Council
After 2.5 years involvement, Ian Martin has stepped down as Chair & Councillor. We thank him for his sterling, tenacious efforts, and the considerable impact he has made for our parish, specifically on safety and speed measures. THANK YOU, Ian. Looking forward, Anne Lashmar, councillor & vice chair for 2 years, has been elected to be our new Chair.
Our short meetings held bi-monthly are open to all residents to appreciate current activity in and around our Parish AND to participate in shaping the future.
Our ‘star’ project for the next few months is Floral Planters for the three signed entrances to the Village. Project lead is Councillor Harriet Connon. Look on our website for updates. www.bulwickparishcouncil.com. We need volunteers to assist with installation & ongoing gardening. Please come to our next meeting Weds 11th March, to get involved to make our village look its best throughout the year.
Would you enjoy being a Councillor?
We have seats for new councillors. If you are curious to understand what’s involved and how you might contribute to our lovely parish, please get in touch with Anne in the first instance, 07980 852683 or annelashmar@bulwickparishcouncil.gov.uk
Parish Security
HUGE THANKS to our residents Dan, Stephen & Nick for instinctively and promptly stepping forward to propose and action security patrols throughout December. As requested, your BPC has considered options going forwards. While your councillors, (as residents, also victims of local car crime) personally supported funding recent patrols, security is not part of any parish council’s ‘statutory duty.’ To go beyond our remit, more than sharing advice and liaising with local Police, would open up legal risks. We’ll help explore other options ongoing. Please share your ideas.
