From 4th January 2022, Stagecoach routes 7 & 65X will run to diversionary routes and timetables due to the closure of Fleet Road between Hartley Wintney and Elvetham Heath.

Fleet Road will be closed from 10th January 2022 for approximately ten weeks, as the South East Water mains installation works continue. (You can find out more about the project and the road closures on the South East Water web site.)

Routes 7 & 65X will run to their revised routes and timetables from the 4th January 2022

Route 7 -
view timetable from 4th January 2022
Route 7 will run the same level of service, but some journeys on weekdays are re-timed to give extra for buses to run via the diversionary route between Elvetham Heath, Hartley Wintney and Phoenix Green. The diversionary route is via Elvetham Road, Minley Road and the A30.

Route 65X - view timetable from 4th January 2022
Route 65X will run slightly differently while the road closure is in place:

  • The morning 65X service will run as two buses: one bus will leave Hartley Wintney at 08:48 and will run as far as Hook Station. From Hook Station, students can catch service 13 (due at 09:08) to Alton College. A second bus will leave Elvetham Heath at 08:55 and follow the normal 65X route to Alton College. Both buses will be numbered 65X.
  • The afternoon 65X service will still run as one bus. It will leave Alton College at 16:35, follow the normal route to Elvetham Heath, then follow the diversionary route via Elvetham Road, Minley Road and the A30 to reach Hartley Wintney.
  • The lunchtime journeys are unaffected.

We willl endeavour to provide updates on this page once road re-opening and timetable changes are confimed in the spring, so please check back.
