Allotments

The brief holder for the allotments is Councillor Mike Keating

The Parish Council owns an allotment site at Chescombe in Cerne Abbas, which is divided up and let as 64 allotment gardens, at modest rents. These are very popular and there is often a waiting list. One of the plots is used on behalf of the allotment committee and has the shed where people can store their garden tools and a polytunnel for plants that need an early start. The rents start as low as £10 a year, for this you get a water supply from March – October, a skip in April for general rubbish and use of communal shed and polytunnel.
