Hadland Memorial Garden

Chaddleworth Parish Council Hadland Memorial Garden

The Chaddleworth Hadland Memorial Garden

The Hadland Memorial Garden is named in honour of two stalwarts of our community – Violet Verney Hadland, Postmistress and Parish Councillor, who died in 1988, opened the Post Office just after the war taking over from the one at Marlpost in Main Street – and her son Charles 'Chuck' Hadland who carried on until his death in 1992. They were both much loved and appreciated. The bench is a memorial for her and the birdbath for him.
