Design Code Consultation

Chalgrove has had a Neighbourhood Development Plan in force since December 2018. As with all Neighbourhood Plans, it is vital that the document is kept up to date to ensure that it carries weight in any future planning decisions.

As a result, the Chalgrove NDP has a new section, called “Design Guidance and Codes”. This document sets out the expectations for any planning proposals, and ensures that they reflect the character of our village. This is a necessary addition to the NDP, as it provides clarity on acceptable designs, layouts and appearances.

Whenever there is a major change to the NDP, we are required to consult with both statutory consultees and the residents of Chalgrove Parish. We are therefore asking you to have a look at this new document, and send in any comments that you may have. Once we have all your comments, we will document those, and submit them together with the new Design Code to South Oxfordshire District Council for review and incorporation into the NDP.
