New swings for Cheswardine Playing Field

Work to replace two swing frames at the play area at Cheswardine Playing Field will begin during the week commencing Monday 12 October 2026 and is expected to take around one week.

The existing frames, which have deteriorated with age, will be replaced with new metal frames, providing two cradle seats for younger children and two flat seats for older children.

Only the areas where work is taking place will be temporarily closed. The rest of the play area will remain open.

These improvements form part of Cheswardine Parish Council’s continued investment in the play area, helping to keep it safe, welcoming and enjoyable for all of its users.

Thank you for your patience while these improvements are completed.
