Circle of Friends CIC Get involved

Be part of something that brings people together.

Loneliness is not always easy to spot. Often it is quiet and gradual. Long afternoons, fewer conversations, and days that pass without much contact. Circle of Friends CIC exists to create simple, welcoming opportunities for older people to connect, feel included, and remain part of their community.

Help at events or share your skills

Some people help at our group activities by welcoming people, helping set up, serving refreshments, or being a friendly, familiar face in the room.

Others support us behind the scenes. This might include helping with admin, IT tasks, writing funding applications, organising information, or lending a skill we do not have enough of in a small team. Support can be occasional rather than ongoing. Even talking about what we do, sharing our posts, or telling someone who might benefit helps more than you think.

Support us financially

Donations help keep our groups running. They pay for community venues, refreshments, activities, and the small but important costs that allow older people to feel welcomed and included.

Some people give a one-off donation. Others choose a small regular amount. Both help more than you might realise.

Help with fundraising

Fundraising does not have to be big or complicated. It can be as simple as a sponsored walk, a coffee morning, a raffle, or supporting an event someone else is organising.

We are always grateful to people who are happy to help with ideas, offer practical support on the day, or simply spread the word. Every pound raised goes back into creating opportunities for older people to connect.

We are always happy to talk things through and find what feels right for you.
