Circle of Friends CIC
Connecting People, Creating Smiles through Friendship

Circle of Friends CIC brings older people together in Maidstone and the surrounding villages.  We support people aged 60 and over who are feeling lonely, isolated, or simply missing regular company.

Our get-togethers are relaxed and friendly. There is time to chat, share stories, enjoy a cuppa, and have a laugh.  You do not need to be confident or outgoing. You can come along quietly, take things at your own pace, and see how it feels. There is no pressure to join in with everything.

Most of our members live alone, some have experienced bereavement or illness, and others have found, over time they have lost their confidence. Many simply miss having something to look forward to and people to share time with.

We organise gentle activities and regular get-togethers that suit different abilities and comfort levels. Just as important as the activity itself is the time spent together.  Conversation, laughter, and a sense of belonging are at the heart of Circle of Friends. These shared moments help people feel more comfortable getting out and about and enjoying regular social time again and give them something to look forward to.

Spending long periods alone can affect confidence and wellbeing. Circle of Friends exists to change that. Sometimes a shared cuppa, a listening ear, a friendly face, or good laugh really can make all the difference.

Whether you are looking for friendship yourself, supporting someone you care about, or interested in working with us, we would love to hear from you.
