2026 Medley Double Fours

Welcome new teams Manningtree Oxen and Manningtree Witches in place of Mistley&Manningtree for 2026!

This year there are 13 teams competing. This has affected the construction of the fixtures as follows:

·       Firstly, although it means that each team will play one extra match compared to last year, it requires an extra TWO match days because on each date one team will be without a match – the consequence of an odd number of teams.

·       Secondly, owing to the extra number of match days, this league will start earlier than in previous years rather than finish later which would have taken it into the third week of September.

·       Thirdly , some teams will find runs of THREE consecutive home or away matches. It has been impossible to avoid this owing to the restrictions of this league – playing against every other team only once, not allowing two teams from the same club to meet in the final two matches of the season, and reversing the venue of the corresponding matches from the previous season.

All teams will play 6 matches at home and 6 matches away.
