The Raynsford Review of Planning has been set up to identify how the Government can reform the English planning system to make it fairer, better resourced and capable of producing quality outcomes, while still encouraging the production of new homes. It will be informed by a task force chaired by former planning minister Nick Raynsford and will include politicians, housing providers, developers, consultants, academics and the public. Evidence will be collected over an 18-month period and a report formally presented at all major party conferences in autumn 2018. The Raynsford Review would like to understand public perceptions of the planning system - whether positive or negative. What is positive about the English planning system? What will your community be like without it?Does it meet your needs for housing and quality of life? Do you think your voice matters over those with vested commercial interests? How can we reform the planning system to make it work for you?

Here is a link to a survey that members of the public have been asked to complete: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/RaynsfordPublic
