Welcome to the Crouch Area Yachting Federation (CAYF)

The Crouch Area Yachting Federation represents the interests of local leisure boat users.

The Crouch Area Yachting Federation ( CAYF), formed by statute in 1975 as part of the Crouch Harbour Act , enthusiastically represents and safeguards the interests of leisure boat users on the River Crouch, the River Roach and their connected waterways. Such users include: Sailing Cruisers , Sailing Dinghies, Windsurfers, Motor driven craft, Water skiers, and Rowing Craft, including Rowing Gigs, Kayaks, Canoes and Paddle-boards.

CAYF makes representation to the Crouch Harbour Authority seeking to influence changes to legal structures and Harbour Dues as may be necessary from time to time, whilst supporting the CHA and implementation of CHA Byelaws. CAYF has two representatives on the Crouch Harbour Authority  Advisory Committee.

CAYF is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association  (RYA) and has a representative on the RYA EAST Engagement Group.

Clubs and organisations with active members engaged in leisure boating are encouraged to communicate regularly with the CAYF Committee  and be represented at the CAYF Annual General Meeting.
