Getting Together with Others
There is a dementia support group running every week in Petersfield. Each group has a slightly different focus - music, entertainment, support - but all are designed to help those living with dementia and their families or carers. The groups are supported by experienced volunteers.
Petersfield Friendship Group
Meets on the first Friday of the month (11am - 12.30pm), United Reform Church, College St, Petersfield
This is a local support group for people living with dementia and those caring for someone with dementia. Run by Dementia Friendly Petersfield, with volunteers available to provide support and information. Refreshments available. the United Reform Church, College Road, Petersfield, GU31 4AG

Pam Robson's Music Group
Meets on the second Thursday of the month (2pm - 3.30pm), United Reform Church, College St, Petersfield
A monthly Music Group for people living with dementia, supported by Dementia Friendly Petersfield. An opportunity to join others for an afternoon of music and singing. Tea and coffee served from 2pm and music from 2.30pm.

The Memory Café
Meets on the third Wednesday of the month (2pm - 3.30pm), Winton House, High St, Petersfield
The Memory Cafe is a warm and friendly support group for people with dementia, their carers and family members. Activities and refreshments are provided in a cafe setting and vary each month. Trained volunteers are on hand to ensure that both parties feel looked after and can relax and have an enjoyable and sociable few hours.

A monthly Entertainment Group for people living with dementia, supported by Dementia Friendly Petersfield. An opportunity to join others for an afternoon of activities. Tea and coffee served from 11am and music from 11.30pm.

Community Mental Health Team
Bordon and Petersfield Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) is based at the
Petersfield Hospital, Swan Street, Petersfield, GU32 3LB. Contact: 01730 264568
Accessing the service requires a referral from a GP. The CMHT help older people experiencing mental health problems, including dementia, and can assess an individual’s conditions and provide tailored care and support. They can also make referrals to other teams, such as the specialist memory services.
Memory Matters Course
Run by the NHS, these courses are for people who care for those with dementia and those who have dementia. The courses are designed to provide information, support and advice in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Courses for carers and those with dementia are separate, but both are a good opportunity to meet people who are in similar situations.Access to the courses will be through the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
Dementia Advisor Service
The Petersfield Dementia Advisor Service is provided by the Alzheimer’s Society. The service is available to anyone with a diagnosis of dementia or people with suspected dementia to help support them through the diagnostic process.

Offer specialist support, information and advice to the carers of people with dementia if they are beneficiaries of the Royal British Legion, including anyone who has served in the British armed forces, their family and carers.Admiral Nurses are registered nurses specialising in dementia. The service aims to help family carers gain the necessary skills to assist with dementia care, promote positive approaches in living with dementia and improving quality of life.This service has been developed in partnership with Dementia UK, a national charity which promotes and develops Admiral Nursing.
