We are fortunate to have a large village hall which can be used for a variety of functions: lunches, dinners, parties, disco and dances, quiz nights, wedding receptions, exhibitions, meetings, regular classes and many other activities.
As well as the main hall and smaller committee room, there is a large kitchen with all the equipment you require. The committee room is an ideal size in which to set up a bar (subject of course to a licence being obtained). You can hire either all or part of the ground floor. Tables and chairs are supplied and available for use.
The Maximum number of persons to be admitted to the Hall including staff, hirers and invitees should not exceed:
Disco or Dance 140 persons Closely seated audience 120 persons Functions utilizing seating at tables 100 persons Functions combining both disco and seating 100 persons
Seated 35 persons
For functions using the whole ground floor: 200 persons

Wedding receptions / Parties
For wedding receptions and parties, most hirers use both rooms. The smaller room is usually used for serving food or as a bar area, keeping it away from the main hall. However, it is up to you whether or not you hire just the main hall or both rooms.
Hirers tend to start the hire on the Friday evening for 3 or 4 hours in order to set up, so that they do not have the task of doing this on the day of the wedding. You also have the option of hiring the hall on the Sunday morning after the wedding to clear up. Again, the hire time is entirely your decision.
Smoke or mist machines are not permitted as they set off the fire alarm system.
Our main kitchen contains a commercial gas cooker, microwave which are all included in the hire charge.
We also have crockery which can be hired – prices on request.
Our cleaners will come in on the as required (according to your hire period) to ensure that the hall is ready for you to use.
The Hall is equipped with extendable stage and changing facilities, disabled and baby changing facilities.
