Parish Council

Evercreech Parish Council Parish Council

Evercreech Parish Council is a non-partisan body of 9 elected members and it employs a Parish Clerk, a Responsible Financial Officer, together with a Street Cleaner. As well as the village of Evercreech, the parish includes the surrounding hamlets of Chesterblade, Evercreech Junction, Southwood and Stoney Stratton. Councillors are elected every 4 years. The Chair and Vice-Chair of the council are elected annually by the full council.

Monthly Parish Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, usually in the village hall, commencing at 19.00hrs. Additionally there is the Annual Parish Meeting where community organisations that the council have supported during the year present their annual reviews to the parish. It takes place in April each year and is a less formal event to which all are welcome.

The council manages an annual budget of approximately £60,000, to cover the upkeep and maintenance of the Queens Road Playing Field and children’s play area, the Weston Town Skate Park, the Millennium Garden, the Bruton Road Cemetery and various footpaths throughout the Parish.

Full details of all the council facilities can be found on the appropriate pages on this website or by contacting the clerk via e-mail address clerk@evercreech-pc.gov.uk or on 01749 830265 .
