Parish Council Documents

Many Parish Councils and Larger Authorities are required to publish documents under the relevant Transparency Code, namely "Transparency code for smaller Authorities" and "Local Government Transparency Code 2015".  These codes apply to councils with a turnover not exceeding £25,000 and over £200,000 respectively.

Fernwood Parish Council has a turnover between these two amounts and is therefore not required to publish any of its documents, but does so freely, to ensure the that the local electorate are fully informed of the work the Parish Council undertakes on their behalf.

The Parish Council are also required to publish the year end account information following the completion of the external audit.  There are several opportunities for the electorate to inspect these accounts in detail as only the summary documents are published, the dates of any inspection period will be published on this website.
