Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting

FOXHILL INDOOR BOWLS CLUB

NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING

As Club Secretary, I have received from more than 30 playing members a request requiring the Committee to summon a General Meeting.

This meeting will be held in the Club at 7pm on Tuesday 25th November next to address the matters raised in the request.

The reason given for requesting this meeting is stated to be ‘the highly aggressive proposed take-over of the day to day running of Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club by at least one of the Directors of Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club Limited’.

The request for a meeting sets out two motions that will be put to a vote, namely:

1. ‘There does not exist in the constitution of Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club for an individual to take sole charge of running the Club, and the current committee is opposed thereto’.
2. ‘Any Director of Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club Limited who is also a member of Foxhill Indoor Bowls Club has a conflict of interests and should relinquish at least one of the said positions’.

Members may vote by proxy. Proxy forms are available from the Club office and can be found on the Club website. The proxy form may be submitted to me as Secretary at any time before the start of the meeting.
