COUNCILLOR CONTACTS: Leigh Jackman, Suzette Hammond and Colin Mansell
This group works to improve how the Parish Council interacts with the public both in terms of how it shares information and news with the community and how it listens to and reacts to parish needs. It also maintains our website, social media and produces the monthly Godshill Gazette.
RESPONSIBILITIES / TERMS OF REFERENCE
- To have overall responsibility for parish council communications, working closely with the Clerk.
- To manage specific communication activities including community consultations and in-person events.
- To edit and publish the monthly newsletter, Godshill Gazette
- To manage the website and to plan its evolution
- To manage the use of social media
- To manage the Annual Parish Meeting
- To be responsible for the siting of physical communications, such as noticeboards and signs.
- To ensure that communications are made in compliance with legislation and relevant Council policies.
