The People’s Emergency Briefing
The People’s Emergency Briefing film on the risks to British life from ongoing damage to nature and to our climate is coming to Faringdon’s Corn Exchange on Thursday 10th September at 7 pm. This screening is being organized by All Saints Church on behalf of Churches Together in Faringdon, with the support of Faringdon Town Council.
The film features footage from last November’s National Emergency Briefing at Westminster, bringing together leading UK experts in climate science, food security, health, economics, national security and nature. It presents a calm, evidence-based overview of how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life in Britain - and what the science says about future risks and the responses urgently required.
Following the 50-minute film, there will be a structured discussion on what this means for us all, facilitated by members of the Climate Psychology Alliance. The initiative is explicitly non-partisan and supported by a wide range of organisations, including the Church of England, the National Trust, WWF, the Royal Meteorological Society and many others.
