Kenneth Jones

Great Coxwell Kenneth Jones

Private Kenneth Jones (14809284), Royal Berkshire Regiment

Kenneth Jones died on 10th October 1945, he was 19 years old. He served with the Royal Berkshire Regiment. Kenneth is buried in the churchyard at Great Coxwell.

A resident of Great Coxwell from 1945 - 1969 recalls being told that he was in a traffic accident as he was walking to Faringdon from his camp at Watchfield, knocked over by a vehicle, although this has not been substantiated.

He was born in 1926, Son of Mrs. H. Jones, of Great Coxwell; grandson of Mrs. E. Jones, of Great Coxwell, at this time I have no further information.

Kenneth is buried in St. Giles churchyard and commemorated in St. Giles Church.
