The Village Hall Trust welcomes you to our website and hopes to see you soon in our lovely hall.
Harrietsham comes from the Old English ‘hamm’ meaning ‘land hemmed in by water or a marsh’ combined with a warlord’s name; therefore, ‘Heregeard’s hemmed-in land’. The village is in the North Downs, 7 miles (10 km) east of Maidstone and includes the settlements of Marley, Pollhill and Fairbourne.
The current village hall was built in the 1990s and replaced the earlier Booth Hall on East Street.
