Short Mat Bowls

The Club is open during the Winter Season for interested Members to play short mat bowls. There are two mats available with slightly different characteristics.

The main bowling activities are on Tuesdays and Thursdays fro 2pm to 4,30pm but the Club can be made available at other times.

There are two main bowling competitions -

Charles Vine Trophy. This is contested throughout the season. At each session sides are picked at random and each player is awarded the number of shots/ends for that side. The winner is the person with the best average score over the season.

Andrew Bishop Trophy. This is a Singles knock-out competition played over 10 ends on each mat and matches are played at times other than than those set aside for the other Trophy.
