Welcome to Hazlerigg Parish Council's website

This is a place to find out about what's happening in the Parish, find out about Parish meetings and initiatives, look up agendas, minutes and financial information.

Parish Councils are the first tier of local government and are statutory bodies. Members are elected by residents living within the Parish, residents pay a Parish precept charge in addition to their Council Tax - the precept is the Parish Council's budget which it uses to support the village community centre, pay the Parish Clerk, and cover running costs.

Parish Councillors are volunteers who have a shared goal to improve the quality of life in the village.

The Parish Council also seeks grant funding for projects in the Parish such as environmental improvements, bio-diversity and tree planting.

There are seats for 8 Parish Councillors.
