Club members assembled at Henfield Hall on Friday 6th December for their 2024 Presentation Evening. After a fine three-course dinner, trophy presentations were made to competition winners and runners-up by new President Bobbie Sims, who also kindly donated a commemorative pen with each award. (If anyone needs a pen, maybe have a word with a certain DP who walked away with 6 of these!) Additional awards were made by outgoing President, Brian Harker and outgoing Club Captain, Jackie Wilson. Brian presented this year’s President’s Award to outgoing Chairman, Dave Harwood for his dedication to the club and committee over his 5-year tenure – a very popular award and well-earned recognition. Jackie presented trophies to the most improved bowlers this season – Sue Wright and Steve Parnell. Bobbie also recognised the ongoing work of the Tuesday Gang, who have continued their maintenance work at Daisycroft into December, with bespoke “I’m in the Tuesday Gang” badges.

Denny then entertained us all with some Christmas favourites and led a raucous rendition of the “12 days of Christmas”.

Our thanks and appreciation go to all who helped make this such an enjoyable and successful evening.
