After a hot, dry and sunny summer of competition rounds, our finals weekend arrived …… as did some very unwelcome bad weather. Whilst our gardens welcomed the change, our finalists were understandably frustrated by the heavy rain, strong winds and generally unpleasant playing conditions that prevailed on Saturday. Nonetheless, they battled through the scheduled matches and we were then all rewarded with improved conditions for Sunday’s games.

The club owes huge thanks to all the finalists, helpers and spectators; in spite of the conditions, it was a truly enjoyable and supportive atmosphere.
A special mention for Tony Bishop who not only contested 6 finals in just over 48 hours, but also won all of them, having played 98 ends and delivered 334 bowls! Well done to Tony and all the other winners and runners-up - full list below (pictures of our finalists are in the Gallery (see 2026 Club Finals Weekend)
