Hinckley Bowling Club – Wade Cup Competition report.

The Wade Cup Competition was run once again this year for the benefit of the Bowls Leicestershire Men’s Section Benevolent Fund.

Eleven clubs in South West Leicestershire took part in the tournament, which was played on Friday, 5th August on a total of six greens around the area. Each club fielded a team of 16 players, which meant that in total 176 players were involved in the competition.

The winning Club on the night, with an aggregate of plus 45 shots up was Kingscroft B.C., with Bagworth B.C. coming in second with an aggregate of plus 29 shots, and very close on their heels, in third place, was Kirby Muxloe B.C., with plus 21 shots up.

Following in order after that was Wycliffe B.C. +3, Ibstock B.C. +1, Hinckley B.C. -5, Burbage C.B.C. -8, Hollycroft B..C. -18, Desford B.C. -23 and Crusaders B.C. -43.

The total raised for the benefit of the Bowls Leicestershire Mens’ Section Benevolent Fund was £320.00.
