Wade Cup Competition – 2023

The Wade Cup Competition was run on Friday. 4th August 2023 for the benefit of the Bowls Leicestershire Men’s Benevolent Fund.

Ten local clubs in, mainly, South West Leicestershire took part in the tournament which was played on five Clubs’ greens around the area. Each club fielded a mixed team of 16 men and lady players. This meant that 160 players were involved in playing on the evening.

This year, the winning Club on the night was Hinckley Bowling Club, with plus 48 shots up, and in second place was Ibstock B.C. with plus 34 shots. Third place was secured by Bagworth B.C. with plus 13 shots up.

Other clubs that took part were Kingscroft B.C., Burbage C.B.C., Wycliffe B.C., Kirby Muxloe B.C., Enderby B.C., Desford B.C., and Hollycroft Park B.C.

The total raised for the Bowls Leicestershire Men’s Section Benevolent Fund this year was £275.00.
