Hinxton Road Active Travel Survey

Cambridge County Council would like to hear the views of Hinxton and Duxford residents on potential changes in the way that Hinxton Road / Duxford Road is used. They have asked the Parish Council to circulate the attached flyer, which explains the process and the options.

Paper copies of the surveys will be available in Duxford Community Centre and Hinxton Village Hall. These will be delivered to the venues on Wednesday 25 March.

Details of the local Dial a Ride services by area are below:

Cambridge Dial-a-Ride (CamDAR)

Offers a daily service for City residents and scheduled trips from South Cambs parishes (including Northstowe) into the City Centre.

Also provides trips to certain supermarkets on designated days.

FACT Community Transport

Provides door-to-door Dial-a-Ride for people unable to access public transport due to age, disability, mobility, or lack of local bus routes.

Dial-a-Car: A pre-bookable service for visits to friends, relatives, or medical appointments.

Covers Fenland, Huntingdonshire, and parts of East Cambridgeshire.

The Voluntary Network (TVN)

Offers Door-to-door Dial-a-Ride covering villages in East Cambs and South Cambs (towards Newmarket and Haverhill)

Provides Fully accessible escorts, if required, 16-seater minibus hire and a community car scheme
