Wycliffe were worthy winners, but hey didn't we do well?

Wycliffe A beat Hollycroft C 19:14, Wycliffe B drew with Blaby Red D 17:17, Wycliffe C beat Burbage Constitutional C 34:6, and Wycliffe D lost to Kingscroft A 13:29.

Hollycroft A beat Bagworth D 22:16, Hollycroft B lost to Enderby B 14:16, Hollycroft C lost to Wycliffe A 14:19, Hollycroft D beat Bagworth B 22:14.

ANYWAY, OF BIG NOTE IS HOLLYCROFT A, PETER DICKEN, LAURENCE CADD, MARK KAVANAGH AND KEN DYDE, GOT A HOTSHOT IN THEIR GAME AGAINST BAGWORTH D. IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS, THEY GOT ALL THE SHOTS AVAILABLE ON AN END, IN THIS CASE ALL 8 SHOTS. FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT. BOWLS INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE CERTIFICATE AND BADGE TO FOLLOW.

Unknown to all our players we owe a big thank you to Ray Maule, Keith Cheater and Dawn Barry for being hosts at our pavilion and to Ray for organising the bar. They had a successful night and sold all the cobs and lots of drinks. There should also be a mention for the green keeping team in doing their best to give us a playable green.

Wade Cup 2024

Hollycroft Park Bowling Club were successful in winning the Wade Cup in 2024.

This follows their successes for 2011, 1971, 1953 & 1942.
