WELCOME TO HORSLEY PARISH COUNCIL

The Parish of Horsley is located in one of the most scenic parts of East Tynedale and forms part of a World Heritage Site. With outstanding views across the Cheviots, Simonside and the North Pennines, the parish offers a unique combination of natural beauty and rich heritage.

An extensive network of public rights of way and quiet lanes provides excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, and horse riding through open countryside and woodland. A large-scale map can be found in the porch of The Hearth Arts Centre in the village.

Horsley Village itself is steeped in history, with many buildings of architectural and historical significance. At The Hearth, several 17th and 19th century listed buildings have been restored and converted into a thriving arts and music centre.

The wider parish includes areas of historical interest such as Spital, the site of a medieval hospital and spa, and Welton, where historic buildings including a pele tower can be found.

You will always receive a warm welcome in this beautiful Northumberland village.
