The Lion and Lamb

Horsley Parish Council The Lion and Lamb

The Lion & Lamb was originally a farmhouse built in 1718, incorporating some stones from Hadrian's Wall, and was converted into a coaching inn in 1744.

Chris Allison, Owner and Executive Head Chef, brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Trained at the Gosforth Park Hotel in Newcastle and Heathcoates in Leeds, Chris has worked in fine dining establishments across the UK. Returning to the North East, he earned two Rosettes as Head Chef at Treacle Moon, helped launch venues including SIX@Baltic and The Ivy House, and spent 10 years as Executive Chef at Ellingham Hall in Northumberland.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy a warm atmosphere, delicious food, and expertly crafted dishes at this historic Northumberland inn.
