Fundraising

In order to provide our support, we have to raise funds and absolutely rely on the generosity of local people, passers-by and local businesses. 

During 2024 everyone’s support enabled us to make donations to the following organisations:

• Drop-in Fun Day at The Minster
• Ilminster Brownies and Girl Guides
• Lions Club International Earthquake Taipei Disaster Fund
• Local scouts visit to Brownsea Island
• Medical Detection Dogs
• Neroche School, Broadway (Compost for Plants)
• Party on the Park
• Royal British Legion wreath
• Senior citizen’s Christmas lunch
• Sepsis UK
• Somerset Sight
• South West Ambulance Trust
• St Margarets Hospice
• Sponsorship of a junior cricket team
• Valencia Flood Relief Fund

Through sponsorship we have also supported a player of Ilminster Ladies Football team and assisted another young person to be able to take part in an educational/humanitarian overseas trip.

This was possible due to the funds raised from the Christmas Hamper draw; fashion show; dog rallies; numerous raffles plus a variety of other fundraising activities.

Previous charities supported have included: Parkinson’s Research, The Children’s Hospice Southwest, and The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital,

In the event of an international disaster, we simply rattle buckets!
