Message in a Bottle

For 20 years Ilminster and District Lions have been running the message in a bottle scheme. This simple but effective scheme provides vulnerable people living on their own with vital life saving information in a common place where it can easily be found in the event of an emergency – the fridge!

Two labels, one on the inside of the front door and the other on the fridge, alerts the emergency services that the information is available. The information stored in a readily identifiable container could be a life saver as it includes medical information and allergies.

MESSAGE IN YOUR WALLET has been added to the scheme, helping anyone on medication or having conditions that first responders should be aware of.
