Home
Welcome to the home of the Leicester & District Bowls League, often referred to as the Leicester League or Wednesday League.
The league was formed back in 1970 and is the only Men's rinks league in Leicestershire and we are always open to other affiliated Clubs in & around Leicester joining.
Goodwood Bowling Club will be the Presidential Club in 2025
We have 3 divisions, each with 6 clubs playing each other twice - at Home & Away
- Division 1
- Division 2 (North)
- Division 2 (South)
Congratulations go to our 2025 winners - Kingscroft (Division1); Birstall (Division 2 North); Westcotes (Division 2 South) with Birstall also winning the KO Cup final against Countesthorpe
Hart of Fleckney & Narborough were both relegated from Div 1 with both playing (in 2026) in the 2nd Division (South). Birstall & Westcotes were promoted to Division 1
Matches will again be played as 4 Rinks (18 ends) and reverts to all Rinks playing at the same venue for league matches. All clubs are being asked to try & field 5 rinks whenever possible, to give more fringe players experience.
The winning teams in both the North & South divisions will be promoted to Division 1.
The bottom two teams in Division 1 will be relegated to Division 2, which are geographically based.
