2020 Club Opening Info

I hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely weather.

 

Some good news for a change.  Following the Government and Bowls England guidelines, the outdoor bowls club will reopen on Monday 1st June. There are strict guidelines set out by Bowls England (see attachment below) and members are asked to abide by them.  

 

Opening on 1st June will give at least three months access to the green and the Membership fee will only be £30 with no extra green fees. Those wishing to join should complete the attached membership form below and return it to Paul Buxton's home address only.  Only fill in your personal details and make your cheque payable to Manor Park Sports Club. 

 

As the number of rinks will be limited to only three at any one time, ie rinks 1, 3 and 5 to allow for social distancing, Members will have to book a rink in advance by using the online booking system.  You will be limited to a two hour time slot - one and half hours of playing time and half an hour to get in and out before the next booking arrives.  Do not enter the gate until your time slot.  See below for details of online booking system.

Select Bowls - Outdoor Bowls - Book a rink
Make sure Outdoor Bowls is selected at top left (activity)
Select Sign in - Username Is your initial. Surname (eg j.morgan)
Password is your postcode (no gaps)
Click on the times you wish to book (max 90 minutes)
If you play indoors you should already be registered. Ron put all the outdoor members on 3 years ago but expiry date may need updating. Any problems and new members please contact Julie juliemaimorgan@yahoo.co.uk 07715407750

 

The Clubhouse will only be open to wash your hands and use the toilets.  The changing rooms are not in use and people should change their shoes outside.  There will be a table just inside the Clubhouse with a jack, mats and score cards.  There will also be sanitiser sprays and paper towels to clean the jacks and mats before playing.  Each rink is to use two jacks and two mats.  One person only is allowed to handle the two jacks and one other person only is allowed to handle the mats at all times.  No other equipment is to be taken out of the shed.

 

The bar will not be open, so take your own drinks which must be consumed outside.

 

There will be a working party next Monday morning (1st June) at 0930 hours, in order to prepare the green for play.  Social distancing will be observed at all times.
