Margaret Harker Hall & Blofield Memorial Ground News

2026 Summer Fayre

We are now looking for community groups who would like to come and join our Summer Fayre 2026 to be held on 18th July from 10 - 2. We already have lots of folks joining us and we want to really create an amazing celebration for Blofield Village -  With a Ceilidh in the evening from 7pm until 10pm.

Please note the football world cup is around this time! But timings have been selected to avoid clashing with matches....

If you are a craft stall and wish to apply please download the application form (either in PDF or as WORD) from this page below or please get in touch.

Margaret Harker Hall & Blofield Memorial Ground News

From Committee Room to Community Room

Work is in progress refurbishing the Committee room which sits behind the stage. We have cleaned and painted the walls a 'calming cream' so the walls are no longer bright yellow, and we have pealed back the carpet tiles revealing a beautiful wooden floor.  We are archiving hall records and sorting through unwanted bits collected over the years.  We will be featuring some of our finds in the exhibition in September "Blofield - a living history" where you will be able to get up close to artefacts collected over the decades which form a patchwork of our living history.

We are searching for grants for disability access funding - as this room has stairs either side of the stage. If you know of anyone who can help with this please do get in touch. We are a registered charity and would love to be able to open the room fully to the public. At the moment it is used by Blofield Preschool (behind the scenes) and for our Committee meetings. We plan to create a cosy craft space in the long term - accessible by all.
