WELCOME TO MELKRIDGE PARISH COUNCIL
Set along the South Tyne River in the heart of Northumberland, Melkridge is a rural parish shaped by landscape, history, and community.
Located just east of Haltwhistle along the A69, the parish stretches across one of the largest areas in Northumberland, with around half lying within Northumberland National Park. It is home to some of the most dramatic and well-preserved stretches of Hadrian’s Wall.
Melkridge combines natural beauty with a strong local identity, offering a unique place to live, visit, and explore.
