Charity Day 2022

Saturday 27th August saw our members out on the green for our annual charity day. Teams played 6 end matches with the winners moving to the left to compete again on a fresh rink, it worked this year! Club captain, Helen Burgess, introduced the day which started with a spider, he did take a bashing but survived to run around another day. The game was kicked off by President Ralph, back on the green bowling once again, he hasn't forgotten how it's done. The match was very lively, with lots of noisy banter and much laughter. We stopped for tea and huge amounts of delicious homemade cake before returning to the green to finish the day's bowling.

We completed our day retiring to the clubhoiuse for some much deserved refreshement and, thanks to the generousity of all members, a plentiful raffle; the proceeds adding to the days total which at the end of the year will be split between Marie Curie and the Harbour, our local charity for 2022.
