MBBC opened their Green on Saturday 20th April. The weather was glorious and all had an excellent first summer get-together. President Richard played the first Bowl of the season and formally opened the Green for 2024. A Spider was held with Derek winning the bottle of whiskey donated by President Richard. Derek generously auctioned the bottle later with the proceeds going to Richard's charity, Parkinson's. 6 ends of Bowls were played and then everyone went into the clubhouse to enjoy a Cream Tea kindly prepared and served by Gillian and Mandy. MBBC has a full season ahead of them and new members would be very welcome in order to fill teams. The local Courier newspaper took photos and will appear shortly.
