Garden Waste Bin 2026-27

You can now subscribe to have your garden waste collected in the 12 months from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027.

The charge is £58 per bin.

We’re encouraging people to sign up early to ensure that you receive the maximum number of collections, and to avoid any possible price increase next spring.

And, if you currently subscribe to the service we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible to ensure there is no break in your collection service.

Everyone that subscribes for the year 2026/27 will receive a new, different colour, bin sticker. Your sticker will be sent to you by second class post and arrive up to ten working days after your subscription is completed

*The price will be reviewed as part of the council’s 2027/2028 budget consultation process and is subject to change from 1 April 2027.

Note: If you have already subscribed for the year 2026/27 please ignore this email.

If you don’t want to subscribe

Garden waste can also be taken to one of Shropshire Council’s household recycling centres, or composted at home.

Please don't put garden waste in your general waste bin, as this is taken to the council’s energy recovery facility which can’t accept garden waste. General waste bins containing garden waste won’t be emptied.

If you no longer want your garden waste bin, you can take it to a household recycling centre to be recycled.
