NC Conservation Area

What are Conservation Areas?

Conservation areas are designated areas that possess "a special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance".

North Crawley has one of the 27 conservation areas in Milton Keynes and the following link will show the extent of the area:

Residents and businesses in a conservation area must play their part in preserving and enhancing the unique character that led to the designation.  Milton Keynes Council, as the planning authority, therefore encourages high-quality design for all develoopment in a conservation area to ensure that it makes a positive contribution to the character.

The following link to the Milton Keynes Council website gives further information about Conservation Areas in general.
