North Crawley Cricket Club

Founded in 1920, North Crawley Cricket Club has a rich history and a central role in our village's community. Our home ground is The Recreation Ground, known locally as Great Crouches, situated at the heart of North Crawley. Over the past 25 years, we have grown significantly from just two senior teams to a vibrant club with three senior and six junior teams, including a dedicated girls' team.

Our Teams and Competitions

Our 1st and 2nd XI teams now compete in the Northants Cricket League following a recent move at the end of the 2023 season, while our 3rd XI continues to play in the more local Four Counties Cricket League (FCCL). The junior teams participate in the Beds Youth Cricket Leagues, catering to ages 5 to 15. We are also proud to run the ECB National Programme, All Stars, for children aged 5 to 8.

Notable Achievements

In the last 15 years, the club has enjoyed considerable success, winning the FCCL six times. Additionally, four of our players have gone on to represent Minor Counties teams, with one even playing for an England representative team.

Our Facilities

Our primary ground at The Recreation Ground has recently been enhanced with new ball-stopping nets to protect nearby properties. The 3rd XI plays at a secondary ground located on High Street, Great Linford. As our youth programs continue to grow in popularity, we are exploring further facility options to accommodate our expanding membership.

Community Involvement

North Crawley Cricket Club is deeply committed to community engagement. We offer free tea and coffee on senior matchdays from the clubroom and host "Social Saturdays" on the first Saturday of each month, welcoming all community members. For the latest updates on our events, please follow us on our social media channels.
