The better than forecast weather meant we had a good number of visitors for our Open Day, with 10 signing up and others indicating they may join the Club. Thanks go to all involved with the day but particularly to Sue and Jim Dixon who spent 6 hours, without any break, on the green helping our visitors.
The Open Day also gave us the opportunity, in the afternoon to show off our improvements in the pavilion. Alongside the Open Day activities we held a Spoon Drive to which we were delighted to welcome County Councillor Juliet Henderson and Borough Councillor Julian Jones who, between them had provided funding for the new tables, carpets and for the inside painting of the building. Thanks go also to the members who provided the delicious cakes we sampled at the end of an excellent afternoon.
