On Sunday afternoon we held our annual tennis tournament. A total of 18 members took part, each playing 7 matches during the afternoon. The weather was perfect for playing and a great time was had by all. Congratulations to our winner Harry, and runners up Robert and Danny. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and also to the many people who came along to watch.

We also held a raffle to raise money for St Michaels Hospice and would like to say a huge thank you to the following local businesses for donating some lovely prizes-

Barley Mow pub, Jolly Olly's, Geoff Aubrey butchers, Oakley Co-op, Oakley One Stop and JOC Sports Therapies. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Drinks (non alcoholic) and refreshments were available during the afternoon. Another big thank you to the committee members who organised it all, and to the others who helped with setting up and clearing away! Roll on next year for an even bigger and better event.

The external renovations are coming along nicely. Weather permitting they should be finished next week, giving us a lovely outside area to enjoy in the warm weather which is hopefully coming soon!

Tournament 6th September 2026 - Save the Date
