Plympton Bowling Club, Charity Event 2021
Press Release – September 2021
Each year the Plympton Bowling Club democratically select a charity to be awarded with the money raised from a specified Charity Day Event. The charity selected this season was:-
South West Blood Bikes
A cheque was presented to South West Blood Bikes Chairman Mark Bentley by the Plympton Bowling Club President Jan Stapleton accompanied by the Bowling Club Committee, for the sum of:-
£650.00
The day was meticulously organised by the club’s Competition Secretary who is responsible for the organisation of all internal club competitions.
The money was raised by the club members playing a ‘Triples Charity Event’ helped with generous donations, raffle prizes and all other money raising ideas. The club are proud of its charity fund raising events and thanks are due to everyone who assisted and donated.
Plympton Bowling Club send best wishes to the riders and organisers of the SWBB Fund, who we applaud for carrying out such a splendid and worthwhile service for Plymouth and the South West. This band of volunteers are crucial with regard to ferrying blood and other important and critical information between Hospitals and Hospices without government support and are therefore dependent entirely upon donations made by individuals and event raising such as this, in order to be able to carry out their dedicated work.
