A Brief History
The Probus Club was created in the UK in 1965 with its beginnings in Welwyn Garden city from an idea by some local gents. The club has since spread throughout the world.
The 'Probus Club of Wigston' was formed in 1972 in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire. It has met at various local venues over the years. Currently the club is comfortably settled in at the Masonic Hall on London Road in Leicester city. The monthly meetings are always convivial, as the main purpose of Probus has always been to foster good fellowship amongst all Probarians.
