A table set ready for Probus members to dine...
The main purpose of Probus is to provide a place for retired professional gentlemen to eat a fine lunch whilst discussing current and past events, life experiences and many other subjects of interest. At each monthly meeting after the meal there will be a speaker presenting subjects which are wide and varying in content. There is a charitable interest and for that a donation is given each year at our Christmas lunch to a local or national charity. So... all a member needs to do is turn up, have a drink in the bar, eat what is always a well presented tasty meal and be entertained by the speaker. Dress code is usually Probus tie, jacket and trousers. We invite our ladies to join us for lunch on special occasions.
Although we are the Probus club of Wigston, we actually meet at Devonshire Place on London Road in Leicester city on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 12:30 pm. With ample private car parking, it is a good place to meet
