Welcome to the website of Reighton and Speeton Parish Council!
Reighton and Speeton Parish Council serves a community of approximately 400 residents. The parish council can have up to nine councillors, none of whom receive any financial allowances for their term in office.
Parish Council Meetings are held either in Reighton village hall or St Leonard's Church Speeton, on the last Monday of every second month. A full list of meetings can be found here. Members of the public are welcome to attend and during the public forum can address the councillors and ask questions.
Our next meeting is Monday 27 July 2026, 7pm at Speeton Church
Please see the Meetings and Agenda pages for details. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
If you would like to raise any issues that you would like the Parish Council to discuss or consider, please contact the Clerk, Emily Jewell on our contact page here.
Councillor Vacancies
Would you like to make a difference in your local community? Our Parish Council currently has two vacancies for Parish Councillors and we are inviting local residents who are passionate about supporting the area and helping shape its future to come forward.
Parish Councillors play an important role in representing residents, making decisions on local matters, supporting community projects, and helping to ensure that the needs and interests of the parish are heard. No previous experience is required – just a willingness to get involved, attend meetings, and contribute ideas for the benefit of the community.
If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor and would like to find out more, please contact the Parish Clerk for further information.
